Lighting control by GIA Systems at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Utrecht

PwC is an organisation in the field of business services. In the fully renovated office building of approximately 19,000 m² in Utrecht, GIA Systems switched the lighting control system. Our commissioner was 4Some Technisch Beheer (translated: ‘4Some Technical Management’) responsible for the technical installation. GIA systems took care of all lighting control and cabling in the office building. At the reception desk, one can command – next to the lighting – the barriers and other over a large touchscreen.

The entrance was transformed into a 900 m² plaza where reception, meeting, (flex)working and conferencing are the focus. In this new entrance, new lighting, partly DALI, was provided and additional meeting rooms were created. This had an impact on the existing lighting control, for which 4Some was supported by engineers from GIA Systems.

The GIA BUS® System was adapted by adding a DALI DIN-rail module to control the DALI lighting. The existing control panel was replaced by another, larger type. This enables that all rooms in the building and the outdoor barriers can be easily operated from one central spot.
