GIA-detectors and GIA BUS® system in new office buildings BDO Services and G-Label

Van Tornhaut is constructing new office buildings in Melle on behalf of BDO Services and project development company G-label. GIA Systems is supplying the lighting control system, which is regulated via its own multifunctional GIA detectors in combination with the underlying GIA BUS® System and protocol of the same name.

GIA detectors

The sleek features of a beam-shaped suspended ceiling can be further emphasised by using the right GIA detectors, specially developed by GIA Systems for beam-shaped suspended ceilings.

The small detectors are placed in the 2 cm wide joint between the ceiling panels. The rubber elastic band keeps the detectors in place and the flexible cabling allows them to be moved easily and safely.

The detectors can be programmed for presence and absence. With detectors with daylight control, the light intensity is automatically adjusted to the amount of light present. The detectors can also be operated remotely thanks to a built-in IR receiver.

Presence or absence detection and daylight control reduce a building’s energy consumption and contribute to sustainability and ecology.

The detectors are connected “plug-and-play” with an RJ45 plug and flexibly cabled with 24V. This makes the installation safer and easier to inspect electrically.

Finally, the full capacity of the ceiling can be utilised. No technical slat needs to be sacrificed to install a detector.
