GIA Systems lighting control for sorting centres PostNL

In 2018, PostNL opened a total of three new sorting centres in the Netherlands to optimise the delivery process for the Netherlands and Belgium in the growing parcel market. In August 2018, PostNL took its twentieth sorting centre in the Netherlands into use: a 7,700 m² building in Apeldoorn with BREEAM certificate “Outstanding”, which indicates that it is an extremely sustainable building with minimal environmental impact. Apeldoorn was followed by a BREEAM-Outstanding building of 7,700m² on Popeweg in Venlo (October 2018), and a BREEAM-Outstanding building of 6,600m² on Joan Muyskenweg in Amsterdam (November 2018). For all, construction company Aan de Stegge Twello was the general contractor.

Before that, in September 2017, the Nieuwegein sorting and distribution centre with a site of almost 34,000 m² was reviewed. The building in Nieuwegein at Oosthoutlaan 3, Sassenheim and Mobilisatiedok 4, was equipped with a temperature-regulated warehouse in function of the transport of medicines and other products for healthcare.

GIA Systems took care of the lighting control for all of the above PostNL buildings, each time by means of a GIA BUS system. With this combined project for one and the same client, PostNL Real Estate Development BV, GIA Systems lives up to its slogan : Efficient. Any time. Any place.
