Ikaros Park Zaventem – GIA Detectors for beam-shaped suspended ceiling

The Ikaros business park offers commercial space in the form of offices, meeting rooms, showrooms and laboratories. In Unit 13/15, with a surface area of 1625 m², GIA Systems provided unique detectors for beam-shaped suspended ceilings in combination with pluggable cabling. GIA developed these detectors specifically for installation in modern beam-shaped suspended ceilings, so that they do not need to be clocked out.

GIA Systems’ presence detectors were discreetly installed between the slats to respect the open structure and unique sleek design of the climate ceilings. In the offices, the detectors are programmed in presence mode, while in the meeting rooms they are programmed in absence mode. The latter means that the lighting must be switched on manually.

Ikaros Park, located near Brussels Airport, has a BREEAM certificate and wants to continue investing in reducing its ecological footprint.
