TransPort was the first LEED Platinum certified building in the Netherlands. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (US Green Building Council, 1998). LEED assesses the development of sustainable locations, water saving, energy efficiency, material selection, indoor environment quality, innovation and design, and regional priority.
The TransPort building of Martinair & Transavia won the Dutch Building Award in 2011.
